A brigadeiro is a bite-size dessert that is found at the center of most celebrations in Brazil. The ingredients in the traditional recipe are condensed milk, cocoa powder, butter, with a layer of chocolate sprinkles covering the outside. Its texture can be compared to chocolate but a brigadeiro is smooth like caramel and as intense as fudge. In recent years brigadeiros have developed into a gourmet treat that comes in a variety of flavors and toppings. Simply put, a party is not a party without brigadeiros!
